Overview

ProctorEdge processes personal data to deliver secure remote proctoring and exam delivery services. This policy describes what we collect, why we collect it, and the rights available to candidates, clients, and other data subjects.

Data We Process

• Identity and contact details for candidates, administrators, and provider contacts
• Exam session metadata, browser events, and integrity review records
• Support and sales inquiry information submitted through website forms

Exam Guard extension

ProctorEdge Exam Guard is an optional extension for one assigned exam in desktop Chrome. You choose when to pair it. It does not close tabs, cancel downloads, or send sitting signals until you bind that exam. After you bind, it closes other tabs, cancels downloads, and sends sitting signals to ProctorEdge at https://proctoredge.in.

Those signals are focus lost, focus returned, a blocked download, a certificate or page-load failure on the exam site, a presence heartbeat about every 30 seconds, and exam-window notices such as a shortcut attempt or leaving fullscreen. Each signal includes the event type, a short reason, the time, and the exam attempt identifier. The public pairing key and the exam session proof are also sent to proctoredge.in so this browser can be matched to your exam. The private signing key stays in this browser and is not uploaded.

Tab addresses are checked on this device only so other tabs can be closed. Those addresses are not sent. The extension does not read question text, answer choices, or what you type. It does not use the camera, microphone, or location. It does not collect website content or browsing history. It does not download program code from the network.

ProctorEdge uses these signals to review the integrity of that exam. They are not sold and are not used for advertising. They are kept for that exam’s integrity review and then for the retention period configured for the exam program. Privacy requests: contact@proctoredge.in.

Lawful Basis & Retention

Processing is based on contract performance, legitimate interests in exam integrity, and applicable consent where required. Retention periods are configurable per client policy and regulatory requirements.

Your Rights
